  1. Is it possible to uninstall DVDFab from my C drive and then install it on my D drive?

Yes, during the installtion process, you can click on the "Cutom" option to change the installation path from default C drive to other path you like.

  1. Can I use Passkey to rip movies?

Yes, after DVDFab Passkey loads the movie, please right click on Passkey icon on the system tray area, select "Rip to Hard Disk" or "Rip to Image" to save the movie to your hard drive. 

  1. How to check whether my computer is capable of HDR or 4K UHD playback?

Startup DVDFab Player 6, choose PC Mode, go to Settings > Video section, use the "Analyze Hardware" button to run a scan, and you will find out what your system is capable of. 

  1. I don't want to turn subtitle off every time I playback a movie, what to do?

Please go to the Setting window of DVDFab Player 5, navigate to "Playback>Language" section, choose "Off" for Subtitle Language, you will not get any subtitle for playback by default.

  1. Where to find the Player log files?

The default location for log is C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab Player 5\Log 

You can also click on the Menu button on the right top corner of DVDFab Player 5 to find the option "Open Log Folder".

  1. What subtitle modes do you have for output?

There are four modes for subtitle output in Ripper, you can switch the modes to the one you need in Advanced Settings window. However not all profiles have all the four subtitle mode options available.
1> "Remux into file": with this mode, you can disable or enable subtitle when playback the output file;
2> "Direct render to video": subtitles cannot be disable as they are embedded into the video (you can only choose one subtitle stream for the conversion process);
3> "Extract to idx/sub file": you can disable or enable subtitle during playback, however some players don't support this kind of subtitle files;
4> "Extract to SRT file": only available in MP4 and MKV profile now. You can enable and disable subtitle when playback.

  1. What to do when get error "failed to create directory"?

This "failed to create directory" failure is normally caused by insufficient hard drive space or lack of folder permissions. And there are the options to try and solve this error:

1. Run DVDFab 11 as administrator;

2. Change the Save To target from default drive C: to other drives like drive D:;

3. In DVDFab "Common Settings > General > General" panel change the Temporary Directory to other drive if you are doing Copy.
