Getting frustrated when the video playback being abruptly halted or audio muted, leaving you a message that the video being played is actually not authorized for playback on the current device? Now the world has the first complete solution for this. DVDFab CinaviaRemoval HD can help you get rid of the boring Cinavia watermark embedded in the audio track of a disc, so that you can watch the backup anywhere, without being suddenly interrupted by that message any more.
Cinavia is a protection for movies in theaters and on DVD & Blu-ray discs. It consists of a multi-level watermark that is embedded in the audio track and, while being theoretically transparent (not-audible) for the listener, it is supposed to resist various transformations of the audio stream like re-compression, analog playback & record, re-sampling, limited pitch shift, etc. The base levels are analog, but on the top level there's the watermark payload that contains some restrictions regarding the playback environment. The protection has two elements (one cannot work without the other):
Cinavia removal solution is available to both Blu-ray Copy and Blu-ray Ripper. For Blu-ray Copy users, please refer to Part 1, for Blu-ray Ripper users, please refer to Part 2.
Step 1 – Launch DVDFab 9, navigate to Blu-ray Copy Main Movie mode, and insert the target disc into the optical drive for DVDFab to access. If the disc is protected by Cinavia, a window with the message (see below) shall show up;
Step 2 – At the audio selection box, select the Cinavia affected audio track and at the same time click on the Cinavia logo until there is a red slash across it, choose the output size as BD-50 or BD-25, and then choose an output path to start the backup process;
Step 3 – Once the backup is started, all you can do now is to wait. The Cinavia watermark will be completely and permanently removed from the audio track, leaving you a lossless PCM audio track which equalizes the original on the genuine disc.
Step 1 – Launch DVDFab 9, navigat to Blu-ray Ripper, and insert the target disc into the optical drive for DVDFab to access. If the disc is protected by Cinavia, a window with the message (see below) shall show up;
Step 2 – Choose a conversion profile from the built-in profile library, select the Cinavia affected audio track and at the same time click on the Cinavia logo until there is a red slash across it, and then choose an output path to start the backup process;
Step 3 – Once the conversion is started, all you are left to do now is to wait. The Cinavia watermark will be completely and permanently removed from the audio track.
1. Considering the huge data of lossless PCM audio, users can only choose BD-50 or BD-25 at the output size selection box.
2. While selecting the Cinavia affected audio track, you need to both check the selection box, and click on the Cinavia logo before the selection box until you see a red slash shows up across the logo.
3. If there is more than one audio track embedded with Cinavia watermark, you can only select one to remove at a time, at least for the time being.
4. To remove Cinavia, the chapter selection and video trimming features are not available.
5. While selecting the Cinavia affected audio tracks, if you see a black Cinavia logo, it means that audio track is not supported yet.
6. Rips made with audio content recorded in theaters are not supported and it's likely they'll never be.
7. While choosing conversion profiles with Blu-ray Ripper, profiles of audiocopy and passthrough are not supported to remove Cinavia for the time being.
