Refund Policy

At DVDFab, we value our customers and are committed to providing high-quality software solutions. However, due to the nature of digital goods, we have established the following Refund Policy to ensure fairness. By purchasing our products, you agree to the terms below.

1. Money-Back Guarantee Period

The refund eligibility period depends on the license type purchased. This applies to all product lines (including DVDFab, StreamFab, UniFab, MusicFab, and PlayerFab):

  • Monthly Subscription Plans: Unconditional refund within 7 days of purchase.
  • Yearly Subscriptions & Lifetime Licenses: Refund within 14 days of purchase, subject to the eligible conditions listed below.

2. Eligible Situations for Refund

We generally approve refund requests under the following circumstances within the guarantee period:

  • Accidental Duplicate Purchase: You purchased the same product twice.
  • Wrong Product Purchase: You bought the wrong product and subsequently purchased the correct one from us.
  • Unresolved Technical Issues: The software is unusable due to a technical error, and our support team was unable to provide a solution within the refund period (provided you have cooperated with troubleshooting).
  • Billing Errors: You were charged for a subscription renewal despite having successfully canceled it before the renewal date.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be granted in the following situations:

  • Violation of Terms of Use: If your account or license has been suspended or banned due to a violation of our Terms of Use (e.g., illegal resale of licenses, abnormal account sharing, or piracy), you strictly forfeit your right to any refund.
  • Automatic Renewal Charges: Refunds are not granted for automatic renewal charges if you failed to cancel your subscription before the renewal date. We do not accept claims that you "did not make the purchase" if the charge is a result of an active auto-renewal plan.
  • Change of Mind: You simply changed your mind after the purchase.
  • Expired Period: The refund request is made after the money-back guarantee period has expired.
  • Lack of Cooperation: You report a technical issue but refuse to provide necessary information (e.g., log files, screenshots) or fail to cooperate with our support team to resolve the problem.
  • Price Differences: Refund requests based on price differences between different regions or promotions.
  • Loss of Streaming Service Access: Refunds are not provided if you are unable to use the software because your subscription to a streaming service has been cancelled, expired, or discontinued.
  • Platform Changes: Inability to download from a specific streaming service due to the service provider discontinuing their platform or changing their DRM encryption (though we always strive to fix these quickly).
  • Failure to Read Description: Dissatisfaction caused by a failure to read the product description or technical requirements (e.g., daily download limits) prior to purchase.

4. Special Refund Policy for BookFab

Due to the cloud service costs associated with BookFab, refunds for this specific product are calculated based on usage:

  • Usage < 2,000 words: Full refund available.
  • Usage ≥ 2,000 words: A service fee will be deducted from the refund amount. The fee is calculated at $2.00 for every 2,000 words used (rounded up).

Note: For usage over 2,000 words, the initial 2,000 words are also included in the fee calculation.

5. Processing & License Deactivation

  • Processing Time: Refunds are generally processed within 1–7 business days, depending on your payment method.
  • License Deactivation: Once a refund is issued, the corresponding license will be immediately deactivated, and you will no longer be able to use the software.
  • Subscription Cancellation: Canceling a subscription prevents future charges but does not automatically trigger a refund for the current billing cycle.
