In fact, what seem to be innocent-looking pumpkins are actually mutant aliens.

The special features a monster invasion and the return of the original cast, including Susan. The episode begins with a UFO dropping a green goo into a pumpkin patch. The pumpkins soon grow uncontrollably, and they are eventually captured by a giant, savage creature, Wicked Jack, played by Rainn Wilson. This giant monster then heads for the Murphy family's pumpkin patch, where they have a large supply of candy.
