Check for DMA automatically:

When this option is active, DVDFab will auto-check if your system is in DMA mode, if not, which means PIO transfer mode is enabled, there will be a pop-up window with a button allowing you to assert DMA mode for optical drives and hard discs.

'Reset DMA' button right behind allows users to check DMA status at other times instead of upon startup, e.g. system will probably switch to PIO mode especially after dealing with a dirty or scratched disc, which can be noticed by the obvious slowdown in reading/writing speed. At this point, you can click this button and then reboot your Mac to make sure DMA mode is enabled.

Output directory:

This is where users save the resulting files, log files, temp files that DVDFab create. Click the button right behind to change the location if you do not use the default pathway.

Create Files in subfolders of Output Directory:

Active: Users/User/Documents/DVDFab/Main Movie/Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Inactive: Users/User/Documents/DVDFab/Rise of the Planet of the Apes

Ask before overwriting the same file:

Activating this option will call up a window alerting you whether you want to overwrite an existing file of the same name in the same location or not.

Open output directory when done:

Checking this box, the directory will auto open after process completed successfully.

Temporary directory:

Theoretically, DVDFab will copy the content from the original disc to the temp folder and then burn to blank media. Click the button behind to choose a location where abundant free space is available. Note that DVD requires about 20G, while Blu-ray, 100G.

Delete temporary file when done:

Optional choice to delete the temporary file automatically when the task is done, or your HDD will be full in real time. But if you intend to use the particular movie as source next time, you can leave this option alone.
