Whether young or old, everybody loves Disney movies. But which ones are the best? Well, that’s what we’re going to talk about today. Although everything released by Marvel and Lucasfilm could be considered Disney movies, we’re going to leave those types of flicks for some other time and only focus on the family-friendly films the company is traditionally known for. With that in mind, let’s take a look at what we consider to be the best Disney movies on Netflix as of 2018.

Part 1: Top 10 Best Disney Movies on Netflix 2018

Coco frequently tops pretty much any list of Netflix Disney animation films even though it only came out last year. Despite often being considered rival studios, Disney and Pixar actually worked together on this movie about a young boy and his journey to become a great musician.

There have been many animated movies about talking animals over the years but none as ambitious as Zootopia. In fact, the entire movie is set in a fictional city where every inhabitant is a humanoid animal. Even better, Zootopia takes pride in how absurd and hilarious everything is.

Often considered to be one of the best Disney movies on Netflix, Moana is the story of a Polynesian princess that must save her island from a terrible curse. The movie stars none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the voice of the demigod Maui, Moana’s sidekick.

Pretty much all Disney movies on Netflix about princesses drew inspiration from Mulan. The 1998 film is actually based on a real Chinese figure known as Hua Mulan. Naturally, the movie isn’t exactly historically accurate but it is definitely a very enjoyable and inspiration film.

Finding Dory

As you may have already guessed from its name, this is the sequel to Finding Nemo. Although Nemo still plays a part here, the sequel focuses primarily on Dory and her journey to find her long-lost parents. Once again, Ellen DeGeneres does a fantastic job voicing the titular forgetful fish. The movie is worth watching just for her excellent performance alone.

The Jungle Book

There have been many adaptations of this classic story over the years, most of which could easily fit on our list of best Disney movies on Netflix in 2018. However, in this case we’re going with the 2016 adaptation of The Jungle Book starring Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, and Scarlett Johansson.

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Back in 1993 Tim Burton and Disney teamed up for what many consider to this day to be the best Christmas/Halloween-themed animated movie of all time. Despite being more than two decades old at this point, Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween who takes over Christmas, remains one of Disney’s most beloved characters of all time.

Beauty and the Beast

At first glance, a live-action adaptation of Beauty of the Beast might not seem like it would be among the best Disney movies on Netflix Instant. And yet, the 2017 reimagining of the classic story works surprisingly well thanks in no small part to Emma Watson’s convincing performance as the princess Belle.

It’s unfortunate that The BFG didn’t receive the attention it deserved at launch because this Steven Spielberg directed fantasy movie is a real treat to the eyes. Of all the Disney movies on Netflix, The BFG is arguably the most overlooked one and that’s a real shame as this is one of the company’s most unique projects in years.

Pete’s Dragon

A story about a young boy and his dragon best friend isn’t exactly all that original but few other movies that have a similar theme manage to be as heartwarming as Pete’s Dragon. Sure, it has some comedy and action bits thrown into the mix but it’s the emotional connection between Pete and his dragon that make this movie so special. Hands down one of the best Disney movies on Netflix if you’re looking for a touching film that delivers a strong emotional punch.

Part 2: How to Rip Netflix DVD Disney Movies to Other Formats

If you like owning physical copies of your favorite Disney movies you may want to try Netflix’s DVD rental service. Alternatively, if you want to make sure your favorite movies stay permanently in your collection you can rip and convert them using DVDFab DVD Ripper. Here’s how it works:

1. Open DVDFab and look for the Ripper module to get started. Insert the DVD you want to rip or click the “+” button if you want to manually add it.

2. Choose your preferred output format from the Profile Switcher found in the top left corner of the UI. While you’re there, you can also pick a specific device that you want to play the movie on.

3. Before moving on you have the option of customizing the file by going to Advanced Settings and using any of the available options. If you’re looking for even more useful tools you can use the built-in editor to further personalize the output.

4. Click the big green Start button to begin ripping the DVD. Wait a few minutes until the software finishes processing the file and you’re all done.
