Converting videos is a piece of cake nowadays. Moreover, these types of utilities have advanced to a point where it’s remarkably easy to convert videos even for your specific brand of mobile device. And that’s precisely what we’re going to discuss in this article.

Using a piece of software like DVDFab Video Converter, it’s possible to quickly convert videos to iPhone X/iPad/Samsung Galaxy/HUAWEI Mate or pretty much any other mobile device you can think of. And we’re not just talking about smartphones either. The software can also be used to convert videos for tablets, video game consoles, and more. With that out of the way, let’s talk a bit about pricing options and then jump to a step-by-step guide on how to use this great video converter.

DVDFab Video Converter Pricing Options

DVDFab Video Converter is available in three versions, two of which have certain restrictions that you’ll need to keep in mind. Upon first downloading the software, you’ll be able to benefit from a 30-day Full Trial that gives you access to all of the software’s features. However, this version can only be used to convert a total of three videos, so it’s more for testing purposes than anything else.

Once your Full Trial has expired, you can continue using the Free Version of DVDFab Video Converter for as long as you want. With this version, you can convert as many videos as you wish, but there are a number of other restrictions in place. For example, this version only offers two conversion profiles – MKV Passthrough and MP4.Free – and can only output videos up to 720p resolution.

In order to make the most out of the software and reliably convert videos to iPhone X/iPad/Samsung Galaxy/HUAWEI Mate or any other type of device, we recommend using the Paid Version. This versiondoesn’t have any of the restrictions mentioned above and it’s the one we’re going to be using for the purposes of this article. If you want to learn more about the differences between the three versions of DVDFab Video Converter, be sure to visit the official website.

Step-By-Step Guide to Using DVDFab Video Converter

Step 1: Choose the Correct Module

After installing DVDFab 11 and opening it for the first time, you will notice that this is actually a full software suite with several modules to choose from. In this particular case, we’re only going to use the Converter module. You can access this module by clicking on the third icon from the left in the upper menu. It’s the one suitably labeled “Converter.”

Step 2: Load the Source

Regardless of whether you want to convert videos to iPhone X/iPad/Samsung Galaxy/HUAWEI Mate or any other device, you’ll first need to load them up before doing anything else. There are a couple of ways of doing this but probably the easiest is to simply drag and drop the video(s)you want to convert anywhere inside the main user interface. Alternatively, you can also use the big “+” button in the middle of the UI or one of the three “+Add” buttons located in the upper left corner.

The “+ Add From Local” button works just like the big “+” button and lets you load videos found on your computer. Meanwhile, “+ Add From Mobile” does just what it says and allows you to load videos directly from your mobile device. It’s worth noting, however, that this feature only works if you have the DVDFab Remote app installed on your phone. Installing the app has a number of benefits, including the fact that you can use it to transfer files wirelessly.

Meanwhile, if you want to add videos from websites like YouTube or Facebook, you’ll need to use the third button, “+Add From Online.” If you’re looking to take advantage of this great feature,it’s worth pointing out that you’ll first need to install DVDFab Video Downloader, if you don’t already have it. Once the software has been installed, you simply need to paste the link of the video you want to download and import the resulted output into the converter once it’s finished.

Step 3: Choose a Conversion Profile

In order to choose the output format, you’ll need to use the Profile Switcher button located in the upper left corner of the UI; the one found right next to the three “+Add From” buttons mentioned earlier. Clicking this button will bring up a new window that features a few different tabs. The software opens the Format tab by default but in this case, we actually want to jump to Device instead. Doing so will allow us to convert our video to iPhone X/iPad/Samsung Galaxy/HUAWEI Mate, and more.

Upon opening the Device tab,you will notice a list of manufacturers on the left side of the screen. Here, you simply need to choose the brand of your device and then the model. We’re going with Galaxy S7 for demonstration purposes but there are many others to choose from. Among others, this includes new and popular devices like the iPhone XS, Apple TV 4K, Samsung Galaxy S9, Huawei Mate 10, Xbox One, PS4, and more. Pick whichever device you want to convert to and then proceed to the next step.

Step 4: Advanced Settings

Video customization is pretty straightforward in DVDFab Video Converter and can be done via the Advanced Settings menu, which can be accessed by clicking the little wrench icon. Upon opening this menu, you will notice three different categories, which with its own set of options to play around with.

The first category is Video and it’s here where you can change things like the video resolution, codec, frame rate, encoding method and split of your videos. Since we want to convert videos for mobile devicesandthe size and quality are particularly important,so use the Bits/Pixels slider (or manually add values in the Bit Rate and Output Size fields) to adjust the video until everything looks good. Alternatively, you can also simply pick a present from the Video Quality menu.

The next category is Audio and comes with another set of options that you can use to make adjustments related to sound. Here, you can change the audio codec, sample rate, channels, bit rate, and of course, the volume. Finally, the last category is related to subtitles and only features one menu. However, there are three options to choose from here – Direct Render to Video, Remux Into File, and Extract to Idx/Sub File. The first option lets you create hardcoded subs while the other two output subtitles that can be turned on or off.

Close the Advanced Settings menu when you’re done and go back to the main user interface to access a few more useful options. Here, you can rename your video and choose the subtitles or audio tracks you want to convert, if there are multiple available. The main UI also contains a drop-downmenu for quickly selecting a video quality preset, which you can use if you don’t want to go into the Advanced Settings menu and mess around with any of the options found there.

Step 5: Video Editing

Regardless of whether you want to convert videos to iPhone X/iPad/Samsung Galaxy/HUAWEI Mate or any other device, you have the option to edit them. This can be done by clicking the icon found right next to the Advanced Settings menu. Clicking this icon will bring up a new menu that contains quite a wide variety of useful tools. Since there are so many tools to choose from, we’re going to split things up into two categories in order to make things easier to follow.

Left-Hand Side Options

On the left side of the menu there are four tabs, each of which can be used to edit a specific aspect of the video. The first tab is known as Credits and can be used to edit the end credits and opening sequences of your videos. Click on any of the options found in the Assets Library and you’ll notice that a few additional options will appear under the progress bar. Use these to set the start and end time of the credits, as well as change the font, size, and transparency of the text. You can also modify the text itself by typing something else into the last field.

The next tab is Text, and can be used to create custom text watermarks that you can display throughout the video. The Assets Library in this section also contains a few presents that you can use to display when the video was recorded. You likely won’t want to use these for movies but they would make a nice addition to homemade videos. Finally, if you’re looking to add your own subtitles to the video, the Text tab is where you can do it from.

The third tab is labeled Music, and it allows you to add your own songs to the video by clicking the +BGM button. There are also some free tracks you can download from the Assets Library if you would prefer to use those instead. Similar to the other tabs, you can use the options found underneath the progress bar to make additional changes. In this case, you can modify the music volume, as well as the start and end time of the song.

The last tab is called Image, and is similar to Text in the sense that it allows you to add custom watermarks to your videos. However, in this case the watermarks will come in the form of images. You can use some of the pictures already present in the Assets Library or click the +Pic button if you would prefer to upload your own images.

Video Proprieties, Cropping, and Trimming

Just beneath the assets library you will notice three small icons that you can use to edit your videos even further. The first one can be used to adjust video proprieties such as brightness, contrast, and saturation. Either use the three sliders or manually add values in the nearby fields in order to adjust the video proprieties. Here you can also find two buttons that allow you to rotate videos clockwise or counterclockwise by increments of 90 degrees.

The middle icon gives you access to the cropping tool and there are two ways of using it. The first one is to simply select a preset from the Crop Aspect Ration menu. Make sure to tick the box underneath if you want to keep that particular aspect ratio, and use the slider if you want to make further changes. If you want a bit more precision while cropping videos, you can manually add values in the four fields found to the right of the Crop Aspect Ratio menu.

The third icon gives you access to the trimming tool and can also be used in one of two ways. The first is to simply add the start and end time of the section you want to trim in the two fields beneath the progress bar. The other option is to set the times by using the two little red markers. If you want to trim multiple sections, drag the blue marker anywhere outside the first area to create two additional red markers that you can use just like before. You can repeat this process as many times as necessary.

Step 6: Choose the Output Destination

Before you begin to convert videos to iPhone X/iPad/Samsung Galaxy/HUAWEI Mate or other devices, you’ll need to choose the output destination. This can be done by using the drop-downmenu found in the lower left corner of the UI. Click the little arrow and choose the “Mobile Device” option to transfer the output directly to your device. Alternatively, you can save the video to your computer first and then transfer it to your mobile device at a later time.

Step 7: Start the Conversion Process

With everything else taken care of, it’s now time to start the conversion process itself. Click the green start button in the lower right corner,if you want to initiate the process now or use the little arrow next to it if you want to schedule the task for later. Once the process is ongoing, you’ll see three next green buttons in that corner that can be used to pause, cancel or postpone the task. Meanwhile, the drop-downmenu in the lower left corner lets you tell DVDFab 11 to shut down/hibernate your computer or simply exit the program once the task is finished.
