By using Main Movie mode of DVDFab DVD Copy, you can copy and backup your source DVD to a disc or onto your computer with only the main movie part. It’s convenient and easy to operate. Next let’s have a look at this detailed tutorial.
1. Choose Main Movie mode in Copy option
Start DVDFab, choose Copy option, then click on the copy mode icon to bring about all supported copy modes. Then choose Main Movie among all the six modes.
2. Load in the source DVD
Insert the DVD disc into the optical drive or drag and drop the backup file (folder or ISO image file) from the hard drive on your PC into the program, then one or two seconds later the source movie will be in.
3. Do some settings
Now you can see the movie is in and the main movie title is selected by default. You can preview the title in real time, change audio tracks and subtitles.
Volume Label and Output
On the left panel of the interface, you can rename the volume label. You need to select DVD5 or DVD9 as the output type. And an accurate compression ratio is provided if there is compression for copying the source to the output size you choose.
Advanced Settings
Click Advanced Settings button then you can do some advanced settings like whether you want to copy DVD-Video part or copy non-DVD files as well, and go to set loop mode for playback of the output.
4. Start copy
Before hitting Start button to start copy process, please make sure where you want to copy your DVD. As shown in the below screenshot, you can choose a write drive to burn your DVD into a blank DVD disc, or you can choose a folder/ ISO image file directory to back up your DVD onto the hard drive on your PC. Then press Start button.
If you choose to burn to a disc, then you will be asked to insert a blank disc to begin write process. Just insert the disc then copy process starts. If you choose to save the DVD onto your PC, then you can directly see the copy progress with detailed info. You can also set your PC to exit program, hibernate or shut down for the moment the task is done.
