There are more quality films on the way, and you can check them out in the theaters or on DVD.

Saint Drogo

Continuing the slow-burning style of the 70s, the supernatural horror Saint Drogo is a chilling, psychological thriller. It follows the lives of a gay couple on vacation in Provincetown, Cape Cod during the off-season. One half of the couple begins to have nightmares about an ex who worked there, and she becomes determined to track him down. As the days roll on, she discovers that there's something sinister going on in this town.

Annabelle

The third installment of the "Annabelle" series from New Line Cinema hits the shelves on Oct. 20 on digital and Blu-ray. Screenwriter Gary Dauberman (The Nun) returns for another crack at this creepy franchise. Producers Peter Safran and James Wan bring their trademark style and spooky sleight of hand to this sequel. Despite its uninspired nature, Annabelle does offer plenty of scares.

The first film is a spooky fright film that follows the demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren as they attempt to exorcise a doll. They place the doll behind a sacred glass and lock it in a special room. However, the doll escapes and awakens the evil spirits trapped in the room, creating an unholy night of terror for the Warrens' daughter. However, the friends of Lorraine Warren work to put an end to Annabelle's reign of terror.

The Curse of Annabelle is the only bonus feature on either the Blu-ray or DVD edition. The Curse of Annabelle opens with trailers for other Warner releases including Jupiter Ascending and The Judge. Both formats are compatible with UltraViolet and Digital HD. In addition, there is a video game trailer for the video game Dying Light. This is the only new horror movie released in 2018 on DVD.

Annabelle movie based on a true story

The Annabelle movie is based on a true story, which is a terrifying and chilling horror film that was adapted into a feature film and released in 2013. John Form believes that he's bought a lovely present for his wife Mia, but the gift turns out to be a nightmare. Devil worshippers break into his house and launch a violent attack against him. The devil worshippers then smear a bloody rune on the nursery wall and pour a bloody liquid onto the doll Mia is carrying - turning it into a conduit for the ultimate evil.

The story of the doll's appearance in the first Conjuring movie came to light when the devil worshipers broke into the Forms' home. The doll, a vintage white dress, was covered in blood and turned evil, and the doll itself was reborn as an evil doll. A prequel to the film told the story of the doll's origin and the horrors that followed. The movie's creators tapped the Conjuring duo of Lorraine Warren and Ed Mercer to star in the sequel.

The movie's story differs slightly from the story in the museum, as the doll's real origin was a childhood gift from the mother of Donna Mullins, who shared it with her roommate Angie. The doll was then locked in a closet until 12 years later, when the doll's maker freed it. Once the doll was free, the doll's demonic presence began to hunt Janice.
